Host Session: Working Together to Advance Canada’s Shared Health Priorities Through Data and Digital Health

Join us on Monday, May 27 at 4:15 PDT for the e-Health Host Session—a dynamic conversation featuring leaders from Digital Health Canada, Canada Health Infoway and the Canadian Institute for Health Information as they discuss the pivotal role of collaboration and innovation in advancing our national shared health priorities.

Situated within the framework of the February 7, 2023 announcement from the Federal government on “Working together to improve health care for Canadians,” this session will explore the data and digital health imperatives that underpin the recently developed shared health priorities in four key areas: primary care health services, health system capacity and supply, mental health and substance use, and a modernized health system.

Panellists will discuss the contribution of the collective efforts made by the three host organizations towards setting, measuring, and acting on identified gaps to advance outcomes for the priority focus areas. Central to this discussion is the critical role health data, technology, and interoperability play in modernizing our health system to meet the evolving needs of Canadians. Through real-world examples and insights, speakers will highlight the importance of aligning investments with a robust measurement strategy and illustrate how shared vision, collaboration, and better information for governments and Canadians can drive progress in addressing existing challenges within Canada’s healthcare system.
